Katy studied textile design at the University of Kansas. Immediately after graduating she moved to New York City to work for one of the highest end fabric houses, Lee Jofa. While there, Katy worked on Groundworks, the fashion forward contemporary line. Designing this line enabled her to hone her skills in fabric design and color combinations.

She then worked for a small interior design firm where Katy discovered that interiors were her true passion. “Designing was a natural evolution for me. I have always helped family and friends with their homes.”

Katy Sullivan Designs was founded in August of 2006. Since then Katy has been able to work with several clients each of whom have their own unique style. “I love collaborating with my clients to make their home reflect the best version of themselves. Each job is about the client and their personality, not the designer. After all, they are the ones who have to live in what I create.”
